SVSU has people who have worked here for 40+ years and others who are brand new employees, and no matter your longevity at the university, you still feel like you are part of the Cardinal family. You have a sense of belonging.

President's Statement

Our collective commitment to our university community makes SVSU a great place to work and a great place to learn. Our response to the pandemic emphasized health and safety as we returned to in-person instruction in August, and not a single case of viral transmission has been traced to an academic setting. When vaccines became available, we used existing relationships to expedite vaccinations, and more than 70% of our faculty and staff were vaccinated by March. When it mattered most, we showed we truly care about the health and welfare of our faculty, staff and students.
