September 14, 2020 (Wilmington, DE) — ModernThink LLC, a strategic human capital consulting firm, today announced the results of its 2020 Great Colleges to Work For® program. Now in its thirteenth year, the program is regarded as one of the largest and most respected workplace recognition programs in the country, recognizing higher education institutions that get top ratings from their faculty and staff regarding workplace practices and policies.

The results, released this week in a special insert in The Chronicle of Higher Education, are based on a survey of 221 participating two-year and four-year colleges and universities. In all, 79 institutions achieved “Great Colleges to Work For” recognition for outstanding employee feedback, best practices, and policies. Of those, 42 institutions were named to the Honor Roll, meaning they were recognized as stand-outs in their size categories. More details on the recognized institutions and the program can be found at www.GreatCollegesList.com.

“This year’s list of recognized institutions in the Great Colleges to Work For® program was united in their commitment to organization culture, even in the face of a worldwide pandemic. They stand apart in their recognition that workplace culture can actually be a roadmap for navigating uncertainty” said Richard K. Boyer, Managing Partner at ModernThink.

About the Program:

The Great Colleges program assessment included two components: a questionnaire about institutional characteristics and a faculty/staff questionnaire about individuals’ evaluations of their institutions. The assessment also included an analysis of demographic data and workplace policies, including benefits, at each participating college. The primary factor in deciding whether an institution received Great Colleges to Work For recognition was the employee feedback. Learn more at www.GreatCollegesProgram.com
